Clothes are the most intimate artefacts that touch our skin. Every day our moving bodies are shaping and being shaped by what we wear. The sensations that unfold during this reciprocal dialogue can be experienced more intensely by people who are neurodivergent. Clothing sensations are widely reported as problematic, yet it is a vastly under-researched area. This project collaborates with neurodivergent individuals and communities to elucidate their lived sensory experiences. Through practice-based sensory design experiments, we also explore alternative design processes that craft sensory nourishment with the moving body.
